About The Campaign

Florida Rights Restoration Coalition (FRRC) is kicking off an innovative campaign to help eliminate barriers to voting for at least 100 people in Florida who are unable to vote because of unpaid fines and fees. The campaign will begin on Giving Tuesday, November 30, 2021, and run through the holiday season.

How It Works

FRRC’s Giving Tuesday initiative works by supporting the organization’s Fines and Fees Program. In 2019, FRRC set up it’s Fines and Fees Program to help eliminate barriers to voting for people with past convictions who remain ineligible to vote because of legal final obligations. The program continued to grow in 2020, when over 90,000 people from all over the country donated nearly $28 million to pay the fines and fees of almost 44,000 individuals. The Giving Tuesday initiative will build on FRRC’s recent success in tearing down barriers and creating new pathways to voting for people with past convictions.

The FRRC Fines and Fees Program is designed to help people with past convictions, from all walks of life, move forward with their lives. Fines and Fees are paid, and barriers to voting removed, no matter a person’s political affiliation, economic status or personal geography.
