About the candidate

Candidate for Lieutenant Governor

Clemency and restoration of rights

In 2018, Graham called on Governor Rick Scott and the Cabinet to restore the voting rights of Floridians who had completed their sentences. She said: "Floridians believe in second chances." She also said: "If you've served your sentence and paid your debt to society, you deserve to have your voting rights restored." She added: "Stripping Floridians of their rights is a disgraceful policy with roots in the Jim Crow era." Responding to a federal court ruling on Florida's rights restoration process, she said: "Today's court order is a win for Democracy." On Amendment 4, then headed to the November 2018 ballot, she said: "If Rick Scott won't act to restore voting rights, the people of Florida will do it for him this November."
